long story short...I have a mystery box challenge coming on friday from my new manager to see if he thinks I am good enough to step into the ex-Chefs shoes. In the meantime I will be running the kitchen anyway and (here come the fun part) my prep cook and spare line guy just got busted to dishwasher for swearing in front of a customer, my dishwasher (useless) now has his job...my best grill cook got transfered to another site and my second best is on vacation till labor day. That leaves me, my coffee prep girl (not a cook) and my ex-manager (not a cook) to handle things. New manager guy said he would step in if I needed help with anything......how about someone that can poach an egg?

This is what I wanted...i think. Anyway other then the usual stressfull things that happen in a pro kitchen my life is kinda getting back into order. Divorce is now all but final...actually, kind of have a new girlfriend....housing situation is solid and benefits have kicked in at the new job. Able to spend a bit of time here on cheftalk and not drive my roomate batty talking about food.

hope your all doing better then me, cause you would be doing awesome, as I am just pretty good right now.

    Peace. :p
