what do you think when the manager says someone complain because the tempura prawns are overcooked?
"Yes, sir, it won't happen again"
"I'll remake the tempura prawns immediately "
"Get out of my face ... You're breathing my air ... There is not a thing wrong with my prawns ... Say 1 more stupid word in my kitchen and I'll murdalize 'ya."
Tell him you were on break and had the dishwasher cook that order......
Tell him over cooked prawns are coming into style with the hipsters and you are keeping them on the leading edge of the next great food trend.
Send him/her a plate of raw prawns,
Can't be overcooked now can they?
Then work on what degree of doneness is required for said problem customer.
Doesn't matter how many times they are sent back.
Some people will never accept what you produce even if it's exactly what they ordered.
Just let it slide. /img/vbsmilies/smilies/wink.gif
Tell the manager you will have a replacement sent. Also ask that the prawns be brought back to the kitchen check them. If they are overcooked fix the problem. If they are not overcooked get on with the nights work.
Come out of the kitchen and stand over the customer with a huge a55 meat cleaver and ask him, "you the guy that complained about my prawns"?
Mario, welcome to Cheftalk.
I hope my colleagues didn't chase you away with their humor.
You didn't provide us with much to go on.
Are you a line cook?
Yes prawns can be overcooked. They become rubbery to the mouth.
