    Hi,

I'm wondering how it's possible to maintain moist and tasty mayo in sandwiches that have been refrigerated for a few hours.

Is there a secret ingredient to the mayo itself to keep it moist? Something to do the butter being on both sides of the bread or something? Or just using A LOT of mayo?

    Cheers

    ehmm.

I think you mean something different than you're writing.

you do not want the sandwich to soak up the mayo.

its not the mayo that dries out ;)

you can butter very thinly that acts as a barrier, avoiding the mayo getting soaked up by the bread

something else might be to add some salad leaves to the sandwich before putting on the rest.

This is how I did it when I would take sandwiches/subs to work. The cheese and meats keep it from being absorbed into the bread.

    Bread(top)
    Slice of cheese
    Mayo(spread on the meats)
    Meats

    Rest of veggies
    Bread(bottom)
