I’m now a convert to the Japanese, not “fake Shun”, knife community.

I’m cooking dinner at a friends house and used one of his knives. Not sure who made it but he says it was hand-wrought on the side of Mt Fuji and quenched in the tears, tears of joy, of virginal Geisha girls. And it was sharpened by a monk and honed on the sole of his sacred sandal.

Damn... is that thing sharp... sharper than any knife I’ve ever used. I cut my thumb... and it cut clean off without even bleeding!

Cool!
Must have been one of those thermo-electric gyotos that run @ ~1,500F?
Slice, sear and cauterize- all in one stroke!
Smoked slab bacon is to die for with one of those puppies! :)
Best are the Ti inlaid ceramic handle units, as the wood handles tend to char prematurely.

It's a very good thing you didn't drop it on you little toe, that would have seriously impaired your cognition.
