Is there a threshold for low carb?

    How few carbs does a meal have to have in order to be considered low carb?   So this:

    6oz lamb, some kind of lamb glace.

    5oz cauliflower puree soup

    5oz vanilla souffle (max 2T sugar)

    Is this low enough carb to be called low carb?  The cauliflower is minimal and the only chunk of sugar is in the souffle.

    IIRC the USDA standard meal is 40-30-30, carb, protein, fat.

    Technically, anything less than 40% of the calories from carbs would be "low carb" /img/vbsmilies/smilies/lol.gif but I would suspect you'd need to be under 30% carbs to label it "low carb".

    well yeah so this qualifies somewhat right?  It's lower at least.  I'm not going to try and calculate calories.  :D

    You're good right up to the souffle - is that 2T of sugar per serving?  If so then I would not consider that "low carb".
