Hi. don't know if this is the proper forum but here we go. I work in a small bistro establishment in a bookstore.There are 8 or so of us cooks. I have worked there almost 2 years. We were told the comapny has suspended raises and evaluations. Supposedly myself and a couple of others were still"doing a great job". However we had this 20 year old stoner kid that was a dishwasher. Never cooked in his life. After a few months they start training him to do orders and now he's making our schedules. Always forgetting something on the orders. Works stoned. We always have to show him cooking techniques like shocking pasta, how not to burn an omelet, etc. Our GM just quit and fought to get him another raise. While we have had none. Our old GM was really social with a lot of the crew though. Wanted to be a friend not a boss/leader. Also the structure and moral has gone to pot. Chaos no structure etc. I have started looking elsewhere. I think I'm just going to hold this job until I get hired someplace else. Any Feed back?
