Hi friends! I want to ask if any of you guys have experience in finding a job in New Zealand especially outside of Auckland area? I’m a Chinese but want to apply for a New Zealand resident. I have all other things qualifies, just without a job offer.

I have accomplished an associate degree in Culinary Arts in the US, and have almost two years experience as a chef de partie. Mostly I work at the savory side, but I also have worked on the pastry side just for learn.

I have worked in catering company, resort, and upscale restaurant.  I have also staged in many Michelin starred restaurants in America. I have some letters of recommendations from my ex employers. So here are my questions:
    1. What is the common procedure for finding a back of house job in New Zealand? I know in America is usually send CV - interview - stage - tell you the result. Is it the same?
    2. Is it hard to find a chef job or baker job in New Zealand? Especially in the places outside of Auckland?
    3. How much a two-year experience chef usually get paid? And how many hours chefs usually get?
    4. Which kind of establishment would be easier for me to get a job? Hotel? Fine dining restaurants? Or others?
Thank you so much for your help!

Easy. There's lots of work there. Check the jobs websites. I lived there for 2 years. $20 an hour is the average.
