Hi fellow cooks. Just joined but recognize several of the names here from other cooking, smoking meats, coffee and knife forums. I'm an avid home cook, big on technique and food science. Makes this hobby more fun. Always been interested in tastes with food being highest on the list. Also into cigars and now bourbon and belong to a couple of forums where we participate in blind tasting of cigars, wine and bourbon. Lots of fun when you take any preconceived ideas away from what you are tasting. Developed an affection for knives, knife sharpening and knife skills. This also makes cooking more fun. I participate in forums to learn and share information about common interests. This to me is the hallmark of a forum, the genuine sharing of information.
