Hey all.  Just a quick introduction as I am new to the forum.  WHile I do cook some in the kitchen, my skills lie in live fire outdoor cooking as the Editor of a Grilling onine magazine and as a rBBQ and grilling recipe developer for various meat suppliers.

Hello Smokeindaeye, and welcome to Chef Talk. We have a good contingent of pros and home cooks who enjoy grilling and bbq, and have had many conversations over the years on various related topics. I'm sure you'll be a real asset to the mix.

Besides your strong affinity for smoke, are there other food and cooking interests you enjoy? Are there cuisines or methods you hope to explore? We invite you to peruse all areas of the site, including the cooking articles, cookbook and equipment reviews, photo galleries, Q & As with the Pros. With 15 years of content and discussions here, it's a good thing we have a good search tool to help wade through it all.

    Enjoy the community, and welcome.

Welcome Smoke!!!!  There are a few of us here that like to "dabble" in live fire and out-door cooking.  I live in Wisconsin, but that doesn't stop me from being a year round griller and barbecuer.  And my wife doesn't understand why I need a charcoal grill, a gas grill, and a smoker (and I'd have more if she wouldn't shoot me).
