    Hi everybody!

I am looking for a new residential 36" cook top or range, and also an oven. My budget is $5000 top. Do you have any recommendations? I would like it to be easy to clean, convection for oven, and sealed burners if its is a gas top. Also interested in opinions on induction cooktops. Did anybody had an induction top for a long time and was it reliable? Which brand?  Thanks!

The GE Profile 36" induction cooktop is getting good customer reviews.  In my new home I will have a GE 30" Profile induction range with convection oven.  It gets mixed customer reviews,  but Consumer Reports gives it high marks.  I'll post a review when I've actually used it.

Thermador has a new one that auto senses the size and location of the pan. Basically, it uses the whole surface and assigns burner controls accordingly. It's tempting technology.
