Don't have any children, but I imagine a cake like this would appeal to some youngsters:
That's pretty cool, dirt cakes have been around quite a while....
Back when my daughter and her cousin had a combined 6th birthday party, I made
dirt cake filling and filled clay pots, added edible plants and let a batch of gummy worms
tunnel thru the "dirt". Needless to say it was a pretty big hit. /img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif

Makes a great little party favor.
TF your cake is really quite good.
Nice sharp BC corners on the cake as well as realistic scale (toys vs construction site) .
Was this just on a whim or do you have a party coming up?
Actually I didn't make it, saw it on facebook, but it wasn't credited to anyone so I didn't know who to thank for the fun picture.
That is awesome.
I saw a little kid (4-5) the other day wearing a T-shirt that said I eat dirt.
