I have a question about the "old-school" cheap bakery chocolate chip cookies.

I miss those cookies so much and I have always wondered if there really was chocolate chips or if it was a carob chip.

These cookies were often found in bakeries in the 80's and they were a basic size, pale blond in color, and small "chip's" as well. They went for about 10-20 cent's a piece. The texture was firm and crispy crunchy. The "chocolate" flavor was minimal.

    Does anyone remember them?

I am also looking for a recipe to be able to recreate them! Thanks for any help!
