As a gift I recieved ham, pork and turkey bases from "Minors" and I really don't know what to use them in. I did get shrimp, chicken and beef also, but I can figure out how to use those. Can anyone give me some tips and or recipes they actually use with those flavors (ham, pork and turkey)? Thanks!
Bases are a professional chef's dirty little secret. Put some in some hot water and, like a cup of water and just a speck of base, and go from there, adding it and tasting it so you see what happens. I used to alway pair some chicken and beef, not just using one, because they complement each other. Never used many of the others besides clam and lobster.
