How many checks or orders can you do at once? I work on the starters and deserts section at the moment and most of the stuff I prepare is pretty simple and there aren't many things that need a lot of time to cook. So I tend to do about 3 checks at once. Or if they are small checks maybe 6 or 7 orders at once. I haven't been in the kitchen for that long so that is about my level at the moment and I can't really handle more than that. So I do those orders get them out the way then move on to the next ones. I find the most important thing during service is not to et overwhelmed or confused and know where you are at all times and that system works for me at the moment. Although I am trying to push to be able to do more but it takes time.
