how do I make a chai tea cream reduction..help!!

    Hi, hubby and I had brunch out on Saturday, we had an amazing chai tea french toast with a chai tea cream reduction. I'd love to recreate this at home but I've googled it (for the reduction) and can't find a recipe, does anyone know how I"d do this? Thanks muchly!!

    Bring cream to a boil and reduce to consistency desired. Pour over your chai spice mix (everything except the tea leaves). Let steep 15 minutes. Bring back to a boil, pour over tea leaves. Let steep 3 minutes. Strain through fine mesh.

    As a starting point would it be cheating to use a pre-made chai tea latte concentrate and simply add cream or half and half to it? It allows you to always have it on hand for whenever the mood for chai tea french toast strikes...

    I have used and liked Oregon Chai, Tazo and Pacific Organic brands for chai lattes...all good balance, but i prefer the Oregon Chai brand.
