How can I get my donuts to look like this on the inside

You're 100% right. I thought I did. I'm new to the site 🤦‍♂️

480 grams (3 and 1/2 cups) bread flour
52 grams (1/4 cup) butter flavored Crisco
268 grams (1 and 1/4 cup) milk
38 grams (3 tablespoons) granulated sugar
1 large egg
24 grams (2 tablespoons) dry yeast
3/4 teaspoon of salt

My donuts always come out too much like bread. I proof until doubled and then proof again after I cut them and they double again. They're just too dense and not fluffy enough.

I'm no baker (hopefully one will chime in) but try using all purpose or cake flour. Bread flour probably has too much gluten for donuts.
