I have read most ot the other salt thread allready, but didn't see anything on Himalayan salt. I saw it today as I was in the health food store looking at salts its apparantly 250 000 years old Anyone cooked or know about it?
In the salt threads, if Black salt was mentianed it is a pretty good chance they were talking about salt from nepal. There's a great book by Ratan Kumar Rai called The Thakalis,Bon Dkar and Lamaitic monastries along the Kali-Gandaki: The Ancient salt route in Western Nepal. It's a very detailed book about the history of the salt trade in the Himalayans. Call your local library and see if they have it
