I have a fifth sense about such things !! Anyhoo, what's your favorite way to cook broccolini? Also, where do you stand on knives near bad places?
My saying about the brocollini is that you should slightly overcook it so it sucks the sauce right in, add some egg so it doesn't fall apart on your plate.
A knife in a bad place can be the difference between good cooking and not so good cooking. I have a recipe for a dish where you don't use knives at all.
