    hi,

I'm from Queensland in Australia. I have always cooked and catered and my lifelong dream was to be a chef.

The opportunity arose in 2013 for me to take redundancy from my clerical job and go to TAFE [Technical College] to obtain Certificates in Cookery.  I have completed Cert 2 and am currently studying Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery.  Hope to finish this soon.

I love to learn, so i will take this opportunity to read your posts, articles etc.  and happy I found this site.

Aloha, welcome to Chef Talk! You have come to the right place!

I'm with you, nobody else gets me... You do what? You cook food? It's like speaking a different language.

Take a look around and if you have any questions, one of us Mods would be more than happy to help you out. A note, the Pro section is for folks employed in the food industries.

I hope you are a shutter bug, pictures of the dishes that the wonderful people here at CT make are so awesome, I'd love to see some of yours too.

Once again, welcome to Chef Talk.

G'day! Let me add my welcome. We're happy you found us as well. Best wishes for success in your new endeavor.

My husband and I will be visiting Brisbane (briefly) as part of a cruise next February. I don't know where in Queensland you reside, but that's the only landfall we'll make in that state and we're looking forward to it. I have a Facebook friend who lives in the Gold Coast area, and the photos from there show heavenly vistas.

Like K-girl, I'm eager to know more about your cooking. I hope you'll fill us in.

    Take it easy,

    Mezzaluna
