    Hi all, I'm an apprentice chef cooking for about 1 and a half years so far. I was just chilling at home when I thought that since cooking is my career it would probably be a good idea to be part of the cooking community. So I googled and here I am. =)

    Aloha, Welcome Brodon, so glad that Google lead you to Chef Talk.

    I was doing the same thing a little more than a year ago, this is a great place, isn't it?  Well, I was looking for the answer to a burning question anyway.  ustralia, huh?  Where abouts?  Always wanted to go there.

    Take a look around and jump in where ever you find interest.

    The Gallery photos are a-maz-ing!  You should post some snaps of your work.

    Nice to meet you, Brodon! We're glad you found us, and we know you'll be happy with what you find here. What brought you to the world of cooking? Was there a mentor or cooking experience that "lit your fire", so to speak?

    A quick look around the forums will reveal the Culinary Students and Culinary Schools forum. There you'll meet others in the same boat as yourself. If you use the search function, you'll dig up earlier threads on topics of interest; be sure to note the dates of those earlier discussions before you respond, as some of them may go back a decade or more. Searching can reveal a lot of answers quickly! 

    Beyond the forums are the excellent cooking articles! Whether it's technique, ingredients, trends or classics, you'll find lots of great content there. Don't miss the reviews of equipment and cookbooks, because there's some good reading there as well.

    We hope you'll visit often to learn, share and participate in the community.

    Thanks for the welcome guys. The reason as to why I've decidedd to become a chef is be because I enjoy cooking, ever since I was little. There's nothing better than doing what you enjoy doing everyday.

    Looking forward to learning more new things from the community that I can bring with me into the kitchen.
