What's everyone, my name is "The Butcher" and I'm new to the forum. I can see that there are a lot of awesome topics being discussed in the culinary world. I hope to be an active member and get to know some of you all.
I am part of Pyknic, a food-themed clothing brand that I started with my friend/college soccer teammate. From t-shirts featuring cuisines from the world over to denim jeans with a crossing fork and knife over the pockets, the colorful concepts helped us become awarded #2 on Bloomberg Businessweek's America's Best Young Entrepreneurs list.
I found Cheftalk.com through Chef Jim Berman, a moderator here. He had us go down to Delcastle Vocational High School to speak to his classes not only about our business but also motivation and habits for success. Cooking really is an art so a lot of the students also found a connection with that aspect. "The Chef" and I got in the kitchen as well and participated in an "Iron Chef" competition with the students.
