Help!! OK so I was impatient and put my cream cheese icing on a warm carrot cake and it's starting to liquify. So I have a large freezer and I set it in for a few minutes is that the wrong idea?

So it's now been eleven hours since your post. How did the cake come out?

It turned out OK, I was worried what the freezer would do to the texture of the cake by quickly dropping the temp vs letting it drop gradually. The freezer stopped the cream cheese icing liquifying process that was occurring, and didn't seem to have an effect on cake texture.

Glad to hear. So chilled cake from now on before frosting? Enjoy the cake.
