http://forums.egullet.org/index.php?...11097&hl=bhaji I think this is a good start, although, I'd bump the thread as there are probably some onion bhaji specialists that have joined since this thread ended. This is definitely the place to find expert advice on bhaji's, though.
? Is there any substitute for chickpea flour? I used to live in London where it was available, but now can't find it anywhere. On line?
Hey oh Wire sieve, coffee grinder, dried chickpeas. Anything not ground to a fine flour, use in a soup.
I think the name for chickpea flour in Italian shops is Farina di cici although I am not sure of the spelling. :chef:
onion bhajis are my favorite, and Harrods of London made the best ones i have ever had when i went to London. They are a little bit larger then a tennis ball. It was awesome. In my experiences, shredded onions work the best!
