Been looking for a food and cooking forum.  Mostly to learn from others and get idea.  

Started cooking young, used to prepare breakfast for my family when I was 5.  Worked in pizza restaurants through high school, then in other restaurants.  Owned a deli for a while.

Out of that business for almost 15 years, but still love to cook, eat, and entertain.  Looking forward to learning from the folks here.

I don't farm.  Too much really hard work, very high capital costs, and not a great return.  Instead, I insure farmers.  I own an insurance agency and about half our business is farmers.

I hear ya farmerbrown farmerbrown ..... Had almost 2000 acres in cotton/corn/milo with husband number 2.
This was almost 10 years ago and we had a nice beach house (with all the toys that went with it).
Saw the farmer last week and he was driving a propane truck in the middle of the season.
I did quite well when we split the sheets but a second job?
Glad I got out when I did.
