Hello! - Need napkin advise

    Hello,

    I'm brand new on this site so please forgive me if I'm out of line with my question. I'm just in the process of starting a restaurant in a luxury inn I own. I don't have a chef as yet (still looking in Central Alberta if anyone is interested) but need to order napkins and other products to get things set up. Can anyone recommend the best cloth napkins to buy? I want a crisp white napkin, high end quality, large, little if no ironing and of course, stain resistant. Any suggestions? I won't be using table cloths on an ongoing basis, just for weddings and banquets, so I will need them as well.

    80% cotton 20% other. Cotton has the touch and absorbing quality.you want

    Thanks for the tip. Do you know of a certain brand name you can recommend? The places I've been checking out sell mostly polyester.

    Yes, I know but we're in the country and do all our own laundry service anyway. Only 10 rooms so it's manageable and our restaurant is only 36 seats so we're hoping it's doable. Right now I've got 100% cotton napkins that I use for my breakfast service and I have to iron them too much plus they look a bit worn after a few washings. I just want to make sure I buy the best type so I don't have to iron them and they'll look great for a long time. It's the little tips that can make all the difference so I appreciate the advice from those in the know.

    Reason they look worn is you most likely add bleach. Commercial linen companies don't use cause it rots the napkin. Many of them clean with live steam.and other not rotting solvents.Tell you the truth never really looked at brand.
