    Hello and Blessing to all.

I am Clay from Michigan. I love to cook when I get the chance, and my Lady and I very much enjoy spending time in the kitchen. I love to experiment with new things in the kitchen, although she doesnt think some of them work too well!!!

I love to BBQ and enjoy visiting different restaurants. I am extremely interested in trying new foods and new ways to prepare food.

Currently I am  in training sort of with a custom knife maker. He is teaching me how to create some crazy knives, mu first was a kitchen knife for myself, the second was a forged hunter.

I am learning how to make my own kitchen knives that are very much professional quality.

I also create custom Thor Hammers-- I have made them for Arnold Schwarzenneger, Dr. Robert Goldman, and many others. I ship them worldwide and each is a custom piece.

At any rate, I am here to learn and soak up everything I can.  After a while I may offer up some knives and such, but for now this is just hello and I am glad to be here.

    Hello Clay and welcome.

There is a thriving group on the Equipment forum here who love nothing better than to chat about knives...   you'll fit in really well, I'm sure!

The membership here is broad - both in terms of geography (I'm Scots, for instance) and cooking skills, from those just starting to learn the basics through to masterchefs.

The wikis, blogs, articles, reviews and photographs on the site are worth spending time to view - and can be a source of inspiration, too.  The three professional fora are read-only for those of us who are not currently employed in a culinary capacity (but still make great reading).

Hope to see you around the forums!
