Hello from Florida

    Hello everybody,

    My name is Rob and I hail from sunny Florida. I'm starting my culinary journey after having finished my AA at a local community college. I worked at a record store for a few years and decided I needed to throw in the towel. I needed something more in my life. I've been cooking seriously for about a year in my own home but recently got a job as a Prep Cook in a local sushi restaurant. I absolutely love the work. I'm here to learn from everyone who is willing to teach. That being said thanks in advance and happy to be here.

    Rob, we're glad you found us, too. A good number of people include Chef Talk in their journeys to culinary careers. Have a look at the forums and make good use of the search tool to read earlier threads on topics related to your inquiry. Some of your questions about career change, etc. have surfaced before and have received thoughtful, useful answers.
