Hi, I'm currently a co-owner of a small restaurant in Bangkok and soon-to-be culinary student (and part time worker at another restaurant) at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Thani. My team focuses on affordable and fresh home cooked food - honest food, really.  None of us, including me, are professionals and that's why I've decided to leave the business for an indefinite period of time to pursue a professional career as a chef.  I decided to join Chef's Talk almost immediately after making that decision because I know that by joining here I'll be surrounded by people who are more experienced, skilled and knowledgeable in culinary arts.  It'll be quite a journey for me but I'm willing to learn as much as i can.

Thus, I humbly submit my empty cup of knowledge to you all /img/vbsmilies/smilies/drinkbeer.gif

    Welcome to Cheftalk!

I have visited Thailand a couple of times for short stays on my journey to Australia. I love the cuisine. Some of the best Thai food I've eaten has been in Australia - loads of Thai restuarants there!

Our membership is made up of people from all around the globe and all levels of culinary ability, too. Join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own in the relevant forum. The articles, blogs, reviews and photographs are also well worth viewing.

Hope to see you around the boards!

    Hi there!

I have also been to Thailand a couple times on vacation, and absolutely adore SE Asian food. Bangkok is a fun city, with some amazing street food. I like to tie in (excuse the pun) Thai flavor profiles to alot of the food I cook. I will probably travel elswhere for my next big trip, but I will def. be back in Thailand again. You are lucky to live in a place with such a vibrant food culture. Best of luck on your culinary journey!!
