    At home cook
Hi my name is Andrea and I'm a stay at home mom to a 3mth old and I LOVE to cook!!

I started cooking when I was little with my mom. I have been making bread since I was probably 5yrs old. I prefer the old hand method and will not use a bread machine....now I'm not saying never because when I'm in my 70s I just might need some help kneading. :)

Lets see....I found this site looking for a cooking forum. I don't have many friends who cook like I do so when I have questions i tend to run to google and i figured it was time I found a site to join with fellow cooks and people who enjoy cooking. So here I am.

I love to cook Italian foods. My moms side is Sicilian/Italian so I feel like it's in my blood! My dad's side is all German so I tend to cook a lot of Italian and European foods but Italian is my "speciality." I make my own pasta, bread and sauces. I love my pasta maker. I found it second hand and it was the best find ever! It's a nice stainless steel marcato and it works GREAT! When I move I take the attachment with me to make sure it fits on the counter. I can't be without my pasta maker!

I am not a baker but I"m learning. I personally don't find it as enjoyable. I like sweets but it's not the same as making a lasagna. I just enjoy making big meals for friends and family. If you were to come to my house I'd fill you full of food!!

Hobbies...thrift storing and second hand shopping. Antiques, but mostly window shopping for those since they are far out of my price range, it's still enjoyable to look at them. I love to cook but I think that was already established. :D

Well here I am and nice to meet you.
