Hi. I'm a home cook and used many old ChefTalk discussions when I was looking for guidance when I was looking to buy my first "serious" chef's knife a few months ago. I'm looking to buy some more kitchen essentials and knife supplies in the future and figured that I should go ahead and join this excellent site. I'm originally from Virginia, but now live in the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico. I'm not strictly vegetarian, but I very rarely use meat in anything I make at home.
