Just wanted to make an introduction.  I'm Tony from York, Pennsylvania.

I grew up in Baltimore, Md and moved to PA about 4 years ago to escape the traffic.

BTW, Baltimore has some of the best crab cakes in the world!  (my own opinion of course).  However, I challenge anyone to say they've gotten a better one elsewhere.

Cooking has been my hobby for many, many years.  I look forward to sharing some of my favorite, delicious recipes and learning more in the process.

    TonyV.

    Welcome to Cheftalk.

We have lots of enthusiastic cooks here, both amateur and chefs - and all stages in between.  Our membership is drawn from around the globe, too - which can make for interesting conversations.  Feel free to join in on any thread you find interesting, or start your own in the relevant forum.  Please note, though, that the Professional fora are read-only for those of us who are not employed in a culinary capacity (but they often make interesting read to us non-pros!)

The wikis, blogs, articles, reviews and photography on the site are well worth reviewing, too - and can be a source of great inspiration.

I hope to see you around the boards.

I can make a meaaaan crab cake ;)  Although, I wish my product down here in Texas was as fresh as yours in Baltimore.  The fresher, the better :)

    Thanks for the comments.

Although my crab cake comment was an exaggeration made for humor, Baltimore does have some good ones.  There are also some not so good ones, depending on where you go.

Of course the touristy areas have some good ones, but they're overpriced.  Other restaurants around the city are also good.

Haha yea.  I've never had extremely fresh crab before.  I've only been  to the East coast once or twice and was too young to care what I ate lol.

Id love to go back and try some real seafood
