Soooo, I joined because I am beginning to have a love/hate relationship with natural brown sugar.. That delicious little monster is RUINING my pastry creations!! Ugh! Still.... I will NEVER go back to white sugar... Our relationship is finished like Ike and Tina!!!!

PS - I compared it to Ike and Tina because white sugar is a drug and well, Tina left Ike due to drugs and his abusive nature. That demon robs your precious body of all its much needed nutrients... THE NERVE! Yeap, so we're through! /img/vbsmilies/smilies/peace.gif

Hello Sarai! Welcome to Chef Talk. A good many of our members are nutrition-conscious, so you'll find yourself in good company. A search here will direct you to articles and discussion threads on particular topics of interest. A caution about the discussion threads though: some of them may have paused a good, long time ago. If that's the case, we recommend you start a new thread on the topic, as people come and go; also, times change and knowledge progresses.

Besides baking, do you have other culinary interests? Are there people who inspired you to be interested in cooking? We love to hear people's stories.

The discussion forums are only the tip of the iceberg here. Be sure to check out the wonderful cooking articles, cookbook and equipment reviews, photo galleries and other features here. Because our members are from all over the world, professional and home cooks alike, the people are a great part of the wealth of Chef Talk. I must mention, though, that we home cooks mustn't post in the professional forums. We're welcome to read there as much as we like, but they are reserved for posting only for the professionals. However, everyone posts in the general forums, so feel free to post questions and comments there, as answers will be posted there.

We hope you enjoy being part of the community. Welcome!
