Found this forum while searching for a recipe.  Lucky stumble!

All the men in my family are cooks by profession or necessity.  None of us went to school, unless you count the University of Hard Knocks.

Mom was an exceptional cook!  She could look in a cupboard and icebox, and create a tasty and nourishing dinner for the 7 of us with what she found.  Us kids picked up on those skills, and took it from there.

I had a chef's knife in my son's hand by the time he was 5, and now he's looking for a recipe for a light cream sauce for frogs legs.  He's very imaginative, exploring, and intuitive, and at 29, well on his way to eating well for the rest of his life.

I'm a steelhead fisherman by passion, hate to have the same dish twice, don't have a recipe box, and looking forward to meeting and discussing recipes with new acquaintances in this forum.
