Hey, it is a pleasure to join the forum.

I'm mostly self-taught and just looking to boost my culinary knowledge and skill to the next level so I can cook flavors and dishes from all over the world.

If that's what you seek, you've come to the right place, Blue Newt. The professionals and home cooks here are happy to help. You can read all the forums on the discussion board, but home cooks like you and I mustn't post in the Pros' forums. We can post in all the general forums, though, and you'll find a trove of great discussions by using the search tool here.

Don't miss the cooking articles, equipment and cookbook reviews, wikis, photos and more. There are 10 years' worth of content here and thousands of members, so we hope you visit and participate often.

What or who inspired you to start cooking? We'd love to hear your story.

    Welcome!

    Mezzaluna

Thanks very much,  however, I do cook professionally.  I started as a salad/pantry cook when I was in high school.

My inspiration comes from the people that are close to me who I want to make happy.  I am also a musician so I like to take an artistic approach to food, combining flavors and making a delicious recipe.

It is amazing to experience the tastes from around the world and I would like to bring that to my kitchen.  Some cuisines I have come to know a bit about in the kitchen are; American, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian.  I am still just brushing the surface, and there are many expert chefs that inspire me to improve my skill.
