Thinking of making Pumpkin Gnocchi (no turkey this year! gasp!) for Thanksgiving! Just not sure what to serve with it though. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks to all in advance!!

    Browned Sage Butter

    Light Mustard Buerre Blanc

Add finely diced and cooked crispy bacon, with caramelized leek or onion and a light Veloute...

    Sage and butter for gnocchi.

I'm tempted to tell you to sub that for the dressing/stuffing. Not that you'll stuff the bird with that.

    Smoked turkey breast

A salad with a cranberry dressing

A potato soup with rosemary and garlic seasonings

I make pumpkin gnocchi all the time, and usually use just butter and parmigiano - just because the flavor is easily overwhelmed by anything else.  Though the sage butter goes well on the squash ravioli - just that i think mixing the pumpkin with flour kind of makes it much less tasty and easily overwhelmed.

I've got an special event dinner coming up, serving something very similar- butternut squash gnocchi. I'm serving that with a smoked pheasant breast.
