French Word

    Does any of the great Chef's no the French name for a portable open flame burner? I think the word starts with an M

    Cassette feu or as cheflayne said rechaud which means warming and feu is fire.

    Cassette feu doesn't mean anything in French (I'm French). 

    réchaud is correct.

    Cassette feu means the cylinder will explode if you put a large enough pot on the burner. :-O
