Well.... the start of an army.  Halloween hasn't even started, but by then I'll be making a lot more.

....Christmas 2012.... Coming soon to a food service establishment near you.......

If I was to to say I collected something...it would be Santas.

    Oh, and nativity scenes.

Handmade, chocolate Santas I am particularly fond of!

    * My fave here would be the edgy guys with the square beards (all the way left..yeah..those are the ones... ;-)

Ahh.. those are the ones that I modified the mold so I could cast them in one piece.  I think I have some pics of that (modifying the mold) around here.

Well, IMO you hit the shape spot on.

    Kudos.

I am assuming that you supply the speciality shops in your area.

    I am jealous.

Yeah, I supply a few shops and one chain of  5 high end supermarkets.  I do a lot of bars for breadn'butter.

    Foodpump,

You do wonderful work. Did you always know you wanted to work with chocolate/confectionary ? Is  there one book you would recommend in particular to someone like me, with no great knowledge in it but who would like to know the basics ?

    Petals.

Actually, I didn't get into confectionary until 5 years ago.

The best book, imho, is P.Grewling's "Chocolates and confections".  Probably the best $80.00 you'll ever spend

You must have had a inborn talent for it then, only five years ? You have worked hard to hone your  gift. I am hoping to get the book very soon. Thank you for the recommendation.

    Petals.

I just found Grewelling's book on BakeDeco.com for $58. Thanks for the tip. I just moved and ditched about 50 books, so now I have room for more! /img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif

Just a side note, Amazon has the 2nd edition of Chocolates and Confections for around $40, he elaborates on many aspects that he covered in the first edition.
