Flyers Vs Habs

Just a small question.....

Is anyone watching the playoffs.....Habs vs Flyers ?

I think both teams are doing a great job. The Flyers are doing an amazing job, what a strong defense.

Cammalleri is doing a great job (along with a few others). In all fairness , the whole team is doing good. I was not happy about Lapierre the other night, it was just intimidation...

Game 4 and it has been terrific.

Is anyone watching ? Opinions ?

Not watching the game but hockey is our sport (sorry to all of our US friends) so of course I want the habs to win.  The Loafs.. OOPS I mean Leafs have been consistently bad for a long time it's an embarassment.. we saw a leafs game when I was pregnant the first time and they actually won the game.   I like to see good hockey and very little fights and brawls.. we went to a Hamillton Bulldogs game nine years ago when our daughter's school chior sang the national anthem and I wanted to choke the guy behind me.. instead of enjoying a game well played he was yealling FIGHT FIGHT all the time.. ugh!

Well I love a good Habs game .Home ice they do the best, but do not espect those Montreal fans to stick around if they are losing way.

Interesting that the Flyers have more Montreal players than we do....hmmmmmmmm

It's a different game then when I grew up

I was a true Leafs fan and most players were from T.O.   now it's well a different game ...still Hockey which we Canadians invented ,,,just more politics and wow at least Montreal is in there as part of the " Original Six"

Go Habs!!!!!!

HALAK........Ahhhhhhhhh he is doing a fine job ( my nephew who is 7 calls him "Halak Shallack" ...of course he is nuts about him, now wants me to buy goalie pads ......ok ok...

It is interesting to see that the Flyers have the "French Connection " going for them....Briere and more....

The Blackhawks have been strong......Gosh ,This monday night at  7:00 , if the Habs win, ......the last game will put my in cadiac arrest ......

A few years back I was at the playoffs and was able to get a ticket signed by Bob Gainey, then Don Cherry ( what a man) he was walking by and CBC set up there cameras to do a live interview, I was two stairs down from him and was pulling on his suit jacket and he turned around and right away....looks at me, and I asked him to sign my ticket , so he says " Well now, where do ya want it sweetie ?" So I told him ," How about right under Bob Gainey's signature ?" So he looks at me and says "oh Ya?" Then he signed it right over his. So I have this great ticket signed by two great rivals......

That night  I was with my Dad and I ended up doing two interiews on live TV.

Cloud nine was what I sailed on that night.

So the Flyers played a great game yesterday...the first period was so exciting. They won and they deserved to win.

Lets see what will happen Monday night......

Oh my.....

You know Gypsy, I just cannot understand why this has to happen. The latest riot took place at the S.A.Q (liquor store) the broke in and ruined the place ...I just don't get it ?

A celebration is suppose to end in a happy mood, ok a bit of singing , maybe hit an Irish Pub for a beer or a Club for a Martini , but to just start looting stores and crashing into cars.....its not safe anymore.

Because of the rowdyiness of some, I chose not to see the last game downtown (as I usually do) . Yesterday , after gardening again (herb section) I came home, it started at 3:00 , and had Sleeman and pizza.

Tomorrow, it will be at " Cage aux Sports". Puck drops at 7:00. Hope your all watching should be a great game !!!!

Well Petals tonight will say it all for those boys..... and I'll be watching in the comfort of my home!

They are getting smoked for some strange reason , could be the size of those Philly's . They are gargantuan! Again......I say, they have more Canadians on their team than we do ...go figure!

I hope all stays tame in Montreal tonight. You live in such a passionate city.

It is wild here today. Everyone has their Habs flags on the cars....Every Depanneur is sold out of Beer, every Sports Club is reserved....(Not... but just making it sound good but pretty close to it)

I am having a slow day today, visitors coming it will be very hectic.

Managed to book my table at the Cage.  Long Island Ice tea (ask me how I feel tomorrow lol) , Veggie plate and wings for me. Cammallari Shirt (Blue), white pants, red shoes, cap....its all about feeling part of the game....(at home, watching game, I still wear the shirt)...

My flag is on the car. You have no idea how  the last  few years went with Boston (yep- the Boston market is to die for)....the scrolls are written .............. .

The Flyers are GIANTS next to the Habs....well I will be thinking of  you as I watch the game. Hopefully a HUMDINGER of a game.

My father ............he always said " You can't beat the smell of the ice" ..And he is so right !!!

Here in  Florida I am stuck with The Panthers who could not win if I spotted them goals.  I loved the old timers. Sawchuck, Bathcate Richard, Belavue ,Espositto, Hull ,Plante. There was no mask ,minimum equipment and The 400 club. Whats that? It was an exclusive club that you got into when you finally reached 400 stitches in your body. Game was not as fast as today but was good. I think The flyers and Habs earned their respective spots. I like both of them. Montreal dominated for years and years back in the 50s and 60s and they to earned it.

I grew up watching hockey along side my dad.......The Great Rocket Richard, Big Bird (Robinson) , Guy L (numero 10--guy never wore a helmet) , Jean Beliveau, Cournoyer, Backstrom, Tremblay, and who can forget the great Bobby Hull ?  and so many others. That was when hockey had its finest moments.

400 stitches plus some missing teeth (which they didn't replace right away because they did have the big bucks like they do today)

To all the Flyers fans and kindered spirits......I believe that the game went to the best team and have no hesitation to who should have won. They won it with determination, good defense, and savoir faire......The best game won and it was the FLYERS......

I am happy that the best team won. !  FWIW my drinks in dedication to my friends were well worth it.

Bonne nuit, je pense a toi.
