    Peace.

I've just started my first job as a cook in a Mediterranean grill.  I open, cook, prep, and close.

I've got dings, dents, cuts, bumps, bruises, back pains, and burns, which I expected, however, my hands feel like they're swollen, but they're not.  They feel like they want to split the skin, but, again, there is no visual change to my hands.  Is this normal?

    Thx.

Are you keeping hydrated in the kitchen? And coffee isn't proper hydration. :p

The only time I had that feeling in the hands is when sanitation buckets had a wrong ration of bleach to water. Made my hands feel like they were going to split, even though there were no visible dryness/cracks.

I am drinking water, tea, lemonade all day.  No sanitation buckets, but I do wash my hands about 50 times a night with sanitizer soap.

    its probably the dish soap.

I have sensitive hands , and well about 11 drops of dish soap is enough for one liter of water , we use about 3-4 drops just to wash our hands , basically <_< we damage our own hands.

Aside from my tomato allergy cleaning products in the kitchen have done some real damage to my hands , moisturize your hands after work and before you go to sleep , it helps me alot. Also keep washing your hands but try to get proper soap for you hands in the kitchen , dish soap isnt proper.
