Hi, I just love to cook. I especially love cooking for parties, guest, and church functions.

    Welcome to Chef Talk !

I notice your location is the Napa Valley and hope your crop(s) and home are far far away from the current wildfires...

When I hear or read the location Napa I automatically think grapes but have also read there are other things being produced in the rich soil

    of the valley.

Chef Talk has an entire forum dedicated to gardening if you are interested  http://www.cheftalk.com/f/33/the-chefs-garden

    mimi

    Wait!

You posted valley and I am just assuming Napa.....

If I am off plz correct me!

Being a former native Californian, whenever I think of the armpit of CA that has to be in the greater Bakersfield area, not Napa.

    Welcome in Farmrwife. :)

And Chefbuba, how can you be a former native--have you somehow changed

your birthplace? /img/vbsmilies/smilies/rolleyes.gif  Though I can't say as I would blame you.

Welcome to Cheftalk.  (Simi Valley?) Napa is supposedly beautiful.  Hope to visit some day.

Cerise - ChefBuda is correct, we are 30 minutes south of Bakersfield. Napa, that would be my dream location. However, we farm walnuts not grapes so wrong climate. Too bad, Napa is absolutely beautiful. Best wines too!
