E. coli outbreak - romaine lettuce

Personally, I wouldn't toss it yet-too much is unknown at this time. I would just not serve it but hold it for a few days, until the CDC has more information. Right now they haven't narrowed it down to any region, producer or distributor. As a food service operation, that uses a lot of it, we have been advised to not serve romaine at this time, but to not throw it away, yet as we don't want to be throwing away potentially good product. I would wait a few days to see if more information is forthcoming. If, in a few days there is no information then toss it as it is getting too old anyway, but I'd hate to toss it, and just a few hours later find out that it is from just one region or producer.
