I work as a line cook, and when i'm not a work, I don't "cook" at all really. I have a zojirushi rice cooker, and unless I can steam/cook it in that thing while the rice is cooking I don't do it (with an exception of dashi stock and miso soup, but that's the easiest fucking thing in the world to make). I don't do any instant crap or take out either. After working in kitchens for years, the last thing I want to do is cook when I get home. Unless i'm visiting my family and they ask me to cook or I have to cook for other people at home, but if it's just for myself, I don't really cook at all. Anybody else this way also?
