So this week i've gone up and down twice to a care home in my town only to be told the second time they are actually just looking for someone to fill in meaning a temp job and i was pretty much lied to and told it was an apprenticeship so not happy about that, what i noticed though is they barely read it, had no clue what levels meant as they had to ask twice what level i did during my courses and went onto asking what ingredients i used, they were expecting someone to go in and do everything and work in the kitchen on their own... i think they are just looking for someone to take advantage of, all that after spending almost £15 going up there, but since i was asked about ingredients and stuff i can't really fit it all into a cover letter so i figured why not do a portfolio?. They obviously don't read things properly i'm gonna have to do a whole portfolio plus a new cover letter to explain every single thing lol. People don't use their common sense these days, clearly from Entry Level 3, Basic food prepration and cooking skills they can see i'm not some super chef lol i think they were just advertising it as apprenticeship to try and get someone to agree to doing temp work, i mean who would do that if it was advertised as temp?, plus who would even do everything like that on their own?, they were even expecting for the kitchen to be closed down the cheek lol probably 9 hour shifts by the sounds of it, there is no way i'm qualified to do that nor will i ever do that much so i've no idea why i was sent there. So how should i do my portfolio? i've never done one before.
