    hi

i am Reuben Jacob 23 year old from india. I joined for Bachilors in computer science and engineering in 2007 due to my parents pressure but have to discontinue the course after 3 and half years due to my lack of interest in that field.cooking was always my passion and i always wanted to be a professional chef.now i am planning to join for a chefs course in canada .but i dont know which programme to take. i want to work and settle in canada after completing my programme. can u suggest me some degree programmes in culinary arts so that i can be a professional chef.i have come across many diploma programmes in culinary arts in various universities in canada.if i opt for a diploma course will i be able to geta good start in culinary field and what are its job possibilities.also kindly suggest me some good degree\diploma course in culinary arts with which i can ealy get a good job in canada.

    thank u in advance

This is practical advice not related to your degree question.

Go work in a restaurant and see how you like working 12 hrs on your feet, rushing and running, while somebody yells at you during service for food. Do this for a while. Then make the decision to go study a culinary field if it's what you really want to pursue.

And I say this because this is what you will be doing after graduation, unless you choose a field different than cooking on the line in a restaurant and working your way up to an executive or as you say, professional chef.
