Clean uniform every day

    Hey All!

    I'm new to the whole chefs whites thing and am trying to find the best way to manage my uniform from day to day and so I have a question:

    How do you manage to have a "clean and pressed" uniform every day?

    The company I work for provides clean uniforms (coats) for us.

    As much as I love the classical look of a white jacket and apron, ive switched to all black. I save my whites for special occasions.

    Bleach, bleach, and more bleach
    If they get wrinkled throw it back in the dryer for a short time.

    Except you can't use bleach on non-white unis or even white uniforms with colored embroidery. Shout, Oxi-Clean or Grandma's Secret Spot Remover saves the day

    Normally I spray first with "pre-wash stain remover" then leave it over night or at least couple of hours then I soak it with bleach. I wash them after those process. If you think that you don't need to soak them after you do with the stain remover( all the stains go away), then you can wash it straight away.

    I also have 5 chef jackets and check pants as backups. (as I consider they are easily dirty and when we have rainy days, I guess very important to have more than 1 chef uniforms).

    Hopefully this is a bit helpful for you and can be a good input.

    It sounds like the key is to just have enough jackets and aprons to get you through the week and do a big load of washing on the weekend :p

    Yeah, five coats and the old oxi-clean+bleach+detergent+dish soap (for the degreaser) washing combo.
