Hi guys. So im trying to think up something for dinner. My girlfriend sucks at cooking and i "kind of" have a natural nack for it. I think im just fat and i know what tastes good...most the time. We got a crockpot for christmas and ive used it twice yesterday and the day before and im already having alot of fun realizing its versatility but i dont think i understand its basic concepts. So the first night i did soy sauce, pineapple juice and chunks, chicken, and brown sugar. That was incredible. Last night i got carried away lemon juice, barbecue sauce, hawaiian fruit marinade, worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. It wasnt bad but it wasnt good. It was a very sharp tangyness that i personally loved but the girlfriend couldnt stomache. Tonight i want to do something similar but with a minimalistic approach. Its the end of the month i got fired and so the fridge is a little bare. Ive got chicken still and i wanted to try and make a cheesy chicken meal this time. We have a block of cheddar, some cream of chicken and cream of mushroom. Should i shred the cheese in the crockpot or will that burn or not properly turn into a sauce? This is why i think im missing the point of how to use a crockpot. I was hopping to put this over some egg noodles for a delicious and easy meal. I think the crockpot is my new favorite tool right beside the dremel! =) Thanks for any input or suggestions.
