So I've made vanilla cake a million times, tons of different ways. When I make cupcakes they're always light in color and vanilla looking but, everytime I pan the same batters into a cake pan, the inside gets very dark in color almost like a spice or cinnamon cake. At first I thought it was the recipes I was using, then the oven. I've since used different ovens, different pans, different recipes but, I'm clueless. If anyone knows what would be causing this I'd greatly appreciate the help =). And no, I'm not burning the cakes haha. The outside is fine, the inside looks like a cinnamon spice cake though =( and would be fine if it was a spice cake..but it's vanilla and I'd like it to look like vanilla. Thanks in advance!
