Can someone recommend a good way to serve hot apple cider to 300 people at an event location?  Should should I use an induction burner and a large pot to heat it up in batches?

Well considering their is 4 cups in a liter.... and 300 people you would most likely be serving 75 liters of cider not counting repeats.

How large are the pots you are using? How many gallons or liters can one pot hold?

How hot do you want it?

A 100 cup coffee urn would do the job--or heat it in you kitchen and pour it into Cambro type coffee holders.

First thought    would do as Mike suggests...Beverage Cambro once it is heated either at your kitchen or on site. Small batches would be fine too if you are able to heat on site. Years ago we did Hot Chocolate and Apple Cider. We used the boil bags and did 2 gallons each at a time....drop the bags in the boiling water as needed then poured in Cambro. the boil bags are great b/c no one has to stand over the pot to assure they don't burn. Cambros are so ugly we covered w/burlap and raffia and of course had apple baskets filled with apples and cups.

FYI......the mulling spices sometimes get clogged in the Cambro spout...just make sure you remove any bigger pieces of spices.
