What's is your guys, and gals favorite type of roll to enjoy an all Americana burger on? Just looking for some incite. Got involved in yet another project with my father and a partner. Father is running the bar/lounge and and his partner the banquet facility. They took over this premise which is located on a beautiful golf course in central Connecticut. My place is doing okay, for now at least , so I am helping him get things rolling and am going to train his kitchen staff. The banquet/wedding packages a pretty much set, as is the lounge/restaurant menu. Just trying to get that little extra out of everything. Anywho, what is your guys favorite vehicle for an awesomely juicy burger? The rolls will be made in house.

I serve ours on house made potato brioche rolls, they look fantastic, and have a good holding power on the bun. I make several different brioche rolls that are topped to coincide with the burger choice, works out great and is a breeze to bake! But we offer four different inhouse ground meats as well, ground daily, so our burgers move well.

Brioche rolls are great-flavorful, hearty enough to not fall apart when burger juices release, but not too firm to make eating the burger impossible. Potato rolls are also a good choice.

Avoid super crispy crust rolls like ciabatta. While okay for other, less messy sandwiches, it's a nightmare to eat with a burger, or worse, pulled pork barbecue. They make already messy eating even more so.

Pure personal preference-I'm not a big fan of hamburgers served on Brioche buns, but I do agree that a nice, soft potato bun is excellent.
