1 qt fresh strawberries or blackberries
    ½ cup sugar

    topping:
    1 cup cornmeal
    ¼ cup sugar
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    ½ cup sour milk
    2 tbls melted butter

    sauce:
    ¼ cup honey
    1 tbls melted butter
    1 tbls lemon juice

Put berries in a two-quart baking dish that will fit inside your Dutch oven. Sprinkle with sugar.

For topping: Mix together all dry ingredients, then quickly stir in the milk and melted butter. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls on top of betties, forming a design of pastry coins.

Mix sauce ingredients and pour over batter and exposed berries.

Put dish on a trivet in a pre-heated Dutch oven and bake one hour.
